Fragmentiser
Metal and Waste Recycling operate a 6000hp mega-shredder.
The fragmentiser, based at Hitchin, is ideally suited for shredding de-polluted End of Life Vehicles (ELVs) and other grades of light iron. Once shredded into small pieces, the resulting material is fed into a sophisticated sorting system to seperate the various types of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, rubber, glass, etc. which can then be fully recycled.
The fragmentiser is able to offer secure mutilation, enabling highly sensitive products to be removed from the commercial cycle.
Large white goods, eg fridges, cookers etc, which fall into the WEEE regulations, once depolluted, can be shredded, enabling all of the different plastics and metals to be segregated and sorted so that they can be readily re-used.
