Metal & Waste Recycling is a privately owned company head quartered in London. The company has depots in the London, South East, Midlands and the North East and has a turnover for 2010/11 anticipated to be in excess of £300m, employing over 400 people and processing both ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal. The processed scrap metal provides high quality feed for a broad range of UK and international steel mills and foundries.
The acquisition of Foreman Recycling has been a platform for strong growth in general waste management services, allowing Metal & Waste Recycling to provide a "One Stop Shop" for customers, helping them to achieve recycling rates greater than 90%.
In February 2006, Barclays Private Equity invested in Metal & Waste Recycling Ltd, the UK's third largest metal recycling business.
